In a heartwarming partnership with News On 6 and the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, the Tulsa State Fair worked to raise funds for the Food For Kids Program, helping to ensure that children across our region have access to nutritious meals.
The results of this charitable effort were truly inspiring. Thanks to the incredible generosity of Fair attendees and the support of the Masonic Charity Foundation, a total of $36,509.06 was raised! The Tulsa State Fair also made a contribution by donating $500 from advanced ticket sales, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to making a difference beyond the Fairgrounds.
To add a dash of fun to the fundraising, the News On 6 "Kiss The Pig" contest quickly became a fan favorite. For every cash donation, fairgoers got the chance to vote for which News On 6 anchor team—morning or evening—would have to smooch a pig. After plenty of excitement and competition, the evening team took home the honor of puckering up.
This year’s Tulsa State Fair wasn’t just about the rides, shows, and treats—it was about coming together as a community to make a lasting impact. In addition to the laughter and memories, fairgoers played a key role in supporting our neighbors in need, proving that fun and generosity can go hand in hand.
We couldn’t have done it without you, Oklahoma! Thank you for your remarkable support and for joining us in making this year’s Fair one to remember. Here's to continuing the tradition of giving back at the Tulsa State Fair!
